Will help Gaza without Hamas: Blinken: Amore

Jerusalem, 25 May

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken today called for international cooperation to help Gaza, which has been devastated by the Israel-Hamas conflict. Blinken arrived in Israel for the first leg of his tour of West Asia. The purpose of the visit of the US Secretary of State is to promote a ceasefire in Gaza. After a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Blinken said that the United States would work to resolve a serious humanitarian crisis in the coastal region. However, he assured that the United States would not let the Hamas rulers of Gaza benefit from this resettlement assistance. The US Secretary of State arrived at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport on Tuesday morning, where he was welcomed by Israeli Foreign Minister Gabby Ashkenazi and other officials. Visiting Blanken President Joe Biden is the most senior officer in the administration. According to experts, Blinken will again face obstacles that have stalled the peace process for more than a decade. These include issues such as the Israeli leadership, the partition of Palestine, and tensions surrounding Jerusalem and its places of worship. -PTI
