VVS Laxman said, I see no requirement to change Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as limited overs captain Find out who among Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma wants to see VVS Laxman

New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has said that for limited cricket it is not necessary to make Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) captain of the Indian team instead of Virat Kohli. Laxman said this during the virtual launch of the book “The Hitman: The Rohit Sharma Story” written by Vijay Lokapalli and G. Krishnan.

VVS Laxman said of Rohit Sharma: “ There is no doubt that he is a great captain. He has done quite well in the absence of Virat Kohli. It is not easy to get 5 titles for the Indians of Mumbai.

Laxman said: “The way he (Rohit) has built the team and manages the team under difficult circumstances is fantastic. He has all the qualities of a good captain for India, but there is no need to change here. Virat is a huge success and he behaves brilliantly. I see no need to make any changes.

He said: “His career reminds me of my career. It’s not easy to play against quality bowlers without opening up. Once their eyes are fixed, they can put pressure on the bowlers. I knew he had the ability to do something different. In Test Cricket we are struggling to score a double century and he scored a double cent in ODI.

Anil Kumble was also present with Laxman on this occasion. He said when the time came, Rohit would be ready to take the reins of the team. Kumble said: “ When we offered him the captain position with the Indians of Mumbai he was very confident. It came naturally to him. They are up to the challenge. Well we are discussing that we have a choice of each other. We are lucky to have Rohit who passed the IPL. When the time comes and there is a need, I am sure they will be ready.
