New Delhi: Indian team batsman (Indian team) Shreyas Iyer succumbed to a serious injury during the first ODI game between India and England (IND vs ENG) in Pune (Pune). Because of this, there was a risk of staying out of their 2021 IPL.
Injured during commissioning
During the ODI game on March 23, Shreyas Iyer’s shoulder was fractured. The incident took place in England’s 8th inning when Shreyas dove in an attempt to stop a shot from Johnny Bairstow on paceman Shardul Thakur.
UPDATE – Shreyas Iyer subluxed his left shoulder on 8th during commissioning. He was taken in for additional scans and will no longer take part in the game.

DC owner expresses regret
Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal tweeted: ‘Very sad and disappointed with the condition of your Captain Shreyas Iyer you remain a strong captain. Hope you will become very happy very soon. I’m sure you’ll come out stronger. India needs you in the T20 World Cup.
Absolutely devastated and gutted for our skipper @ ShreyasIyer15 – stay strong captain – hope for a very quick recovery. Have full faith that you’ll come back even stronger than that. India needs you in the T20 World Cup. @DelhiCapitals @BCCI

Will Iyer be out of the entire IPL season?
This tweet from the Delhi Capitals co-owner suggests that Shreyas Iyer’s hopes of a quick return to the field are low. Parth Jindal himself wants him to return in perfect health so that he can be included in the T20 World Cup to be held this year.
