Brisbane: Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting believes that missing the series draw against Indian team (Team India) has weakened due to the injury of many players from the Border Trophy host team -Gavaskar 2 years ago A bad loss will lead to a worse result.

Ponting said: “ I think the draw for the series will be worse than the loss of 2 years ago. I look at it that way, knowing India struggled to choose to play XI out of 20 players in the series.
Ponting said: “On the other hand, in David Warner’s last 2 games in the Australian squad and Steve Smith came back, when he wasn’t in the squad the last time.” The tie in the series will not only be like a loss but it will also be a bad result from the previous series.
The current test run is currently 1–1. India must score 324 points for the victory on the fifth and final day at Gaba and they have 10 wickets left. If the series is tied, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will remain with India.
Ponting went on to say, “India’s arsenal is going to weaken at some point. I can’t keep doing what they are doing and I think it can happen tomorrow. He will make a few mistakes while playing for the draw on the last day of the series.
