Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Council Chairman Ehsan Mani is optimistic about hosting the Indian team at the 2023 Asian Cup in 2023 and hopes that by then political relations between the two neighboring countries will improve
PCB president Ehsan Mani informed that Sri Lanka will host the Asian Cup in 2022 and therefore ruled out the possibility of hosting the continental tournament in June this year.

Ehsan Mani said: “ In 2022 Sri Lanka will host the Asian Cup and in 2023 Pakistan will host this regional tournament. I am hopeful that by then the political relations between the two countries will improve as well, and that will also pave the way for the Indian team to come to Pakistan.
In an interview with ‘Jang’ newspaper on Wednesday, he said, “There have been some positive signs lately and we hope the relationship improves.” Money said if the Indian team visited their country it would be a big success for Pakistan cricket.
