NATO members to discuss Russia’s growing influence with US: Amore

US President Joe Biden will attend the meeting of Eastern NATO member states via video link. The presidents of Romania and Poland said the meeting would take place under the “Bucharest Nine” member states of the eastern end of the Western Military Alliance. The meeting will focus on Russia’s growing influence in the region. After Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea region in 2014, these countries have growing concerns. Romanian President Claus Lohanis said that he welcomed President Biden. The meeting is being held in preparation for next month’s full NATO summit. -App
