Ahmedabad: President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the world’s largest stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. With the inauguration, the Motera stadium was renamed in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Union Home Secretary and President of the Gujarat Cricket Association, Amit Shah, was also present on the occasion.

Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the world. Located in Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, this stadium is equipped with modern sports facilities and will host the first day-night test between India and England for the first time. The stadium covers an area of 63 acres, which has a capacity of one lakh ten thousand spectators simultaneously. The stadium has 76 corporate boxes, Olympic-level swimming pools, indoor academies, four changing rooms for athletes and food courts.
