New Delhi: The 14th Indian Premier League (IPL) season kicks off on April 9. 8 teams will also participate in this year’s IPL. But the BCCI has decided that it will now field not 10 but 10 teams in the IPL. 10 teams will participate in IPL 15 to be held in 2022. These teams will be auctioned off by the end of the 2021 season.
Senior BCCI officials, including BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah, held a meeting on Saturday to consider various policy decisions approved by the IPL Steering Committee earlier this year. 10 teams that will take place next year
During IPL 2022, 10 teams will be seen playing. These teams will be auctioned off in the final phase of the IPL in May this year.
