Previously, the Indian team had won the second consecutive series by beating Australia 2-1 in the test series held at their home. The series victory over Australia is considered one of India’s greatest series victories. Meanwhile, Team India’s young opener Shubhman Gill made a big statement in reference to his experience on the Australian tour.

Gill (Shubhman Gill) said playing on Australian soil was like a dream come true. Speaking to the official Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) website, Gill said: “ When I was a kid I would get up at four and a half to watch the test match in Australia. Now people wake up early to watch me play, it’s a great feeling. It’s like the realization of a childhood dream.

“ It was like going to war ”

Gill (Shubhman Gill) said when he went to bat in Australia he felt like he was going to fight. He said: “ By the time I was on the pitch I was completely normal. But when the turn of the stick came and I came from the locker room to the pitch amidst the noise of the spectators, it was a different experience. It looked like a war.

The biggest winning streak against Australia

The series victory over Australia was one of the biggest victories of the Test series in India. India won the 4-game series 2–1. This series victory was special because in the middle of this series, more than half of the main Indian players were injured and taken out, while captain Kohli returned home after the first test. In the first game of this series, India was all out for 36 points in the second set. But India has always made history by winning two of the next 3 games in the series.
