New Delhi: Team India regular captain Virat Kohli sharply criticized the racial comments made by the Australian public during the third test match between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He said nothing worse could happen to the players.

Kohli also suffered abuse during the 2011–12 series of tests. When Kohli toured Australia in 2011, he pointed a finger at Sydney audiences after facing frequent border abuses, causing controversy.

Kohli (Virat Kohli) tweeted against him. After playing the first test match, Kohli returned home for the birth of his first child. He said strict action should be taken against the accused.

Racial violence is absolutely unacceptable. After going through many incidents of really pathetic things said about line boundaries, this is the absolute peak of rowdy behavior. It’s sad to see this happening on the ground.

Kohli wrote: “Racial remarks cannot be tolerated at all. It is very bad to say stupid things near the border. This is the culmination of bad behavior. It is sad to see this happening on the ground.

He said: “This matter should be seriously investigated with immediate effect and strict action should be taken against the accused.

The incident must be looked at with absolute urgency and seriousness, and strict action against offenders must set the record straight for once.

The public made racial remarks about Mohammad Siraj standing near the border. After that, Siraj complained to his team captain and the field referee. Meanwhile, the match paused for a while and security officials sent six spectators out of the stadium in this regard.

Kohli (Virat Kohli) wrote: ‘It is disappointing to see his teammates constantly faced with racial remarks in Sydney. Racism has no place in today’s world and it cannot be tolerated. I think action will be taken against those who behaved badly.
