IND VS ENG: Ben Stokes uses his saliva on the ball during the match, the referee steps in | IND VS ENG: Ben Stokes broke necessary rules on match day one, referee gave warning

Ahmedabad: On the first day of the third Test between India and England (IND vs ENG), Team India completely beat the visiting team. Joe Root’s team were in full swing for the fourth lowest score in their testing history. English players were seen going to the game. At the same time, something happened in the game that shouldn’t have happened.

Ben Stokes made a big mistake

England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes was seen salivating at the ball on the opening day of the day-night test, after which the ball had to be disinfected.

IND vs ENG: Axar Patel, who took 6 wickets, said: ‘When the going is good you should take advantage’

The incident took place at the end of the 12th, when Ben Stokes was seen using saliva to make the ball glow, forcing referee Nitin Menon to speak to him. The balloon was then disinfected.

ICC Rules

The International Cricket Council (ICC) in June last year banned the use of saliva to make the ball shine due to the Kovid-19 outbreak.

According to ICC Kovid-19 guidelines, a team may be cautioned twice in each inning, but repeated saliva on the ball will result in a five-point penalty which will be awarded to the batting team.

Whenever the bowler makes saliva on the ball, the referees must clean it before starting play with the ball.

The strong performance of Team India

On the first day of the third test played between India and England (IND vs ENG), if a player has won everyone’s hearts with his performance, then he is Axar Patel. He freed the English team’s sweat from its rotation.

Axar Patel played an important role in the second test match of his career, taking 6 wickets for 38 points to reduce England to 112 points. Apart from Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets, leaving England in 48.4 overs. In response, Team India scored 99 points for 3 wickets.
