New Delhi: Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has fewer chances than before in Team India. There is no shortage of this bowler, according to captain Virat Kohli, but the team combination must also be taken into account.

Kohli, when asked if left arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav was no longer part of the team plan, the captain replied that it was not. Kuldeep had previously made a deadly pair of spins with Yuzvendra Chahal in limited overs cricket, but now he’s not the team’s first choice.

Virat Kohli said: “ Their game (Kuldeep) is very good, they are doing their best, but the combination, we have to make sure that we are on all aspects and that our team has the best balance. ”

He said, “If Ravindra Jadeja is playing and you’re talking about the third spinner, then Kuldeep is more likely to be selected.” Significantly, Jadeja is currently trying to recover from the injury.

Kohli said, “Right now we’re playing with Ash (Ravichandran Ashwin), Vashi (Washington Sundar) and Akshar (Patel). It all depends on the combination. If the people are not good, they will not be part of the Indian team, that is to be expected.

In defense of his players, he said: “ Until about 4 years ago he was criticized for not scoring points on foreign soil. Now he’s playing for you outside of India. In some innings all the batsmen fight. Rohit played well, Ash played well, Jinks (Ajinkya Rahane) scored half a century, I scored 2.

The Indian captain said: ‘It’s not easy so if you start criticizing his game in a foreign country then it will be good for him. I keep saying that Pujara is our most important test player with jinks.
