Melbourne: David Warner can play the last 2 tests against India. The selectors announced the squad for the third and fourth test matches, in which Warner was pulled from the squad, which is battling poor form.

David Warner had a groin injury so he didn’t play in the first 2 tries in Adelaide and Melbourne. He suffered the injury during the second ODI game in Sydney last month.

In a statement released by Cricket Australia, Trevor Hohns said: “ Warner has made a comeback from his injury. We will give him a lot of opportunities so that he can play in Sydney. Hons said Joe Burns had not behaved well.

He said: “Unfortunately, Burns’ return was not what he and the coaches wanted.” Will Pucovski and Marcus Harris are the 2 other openers of the Australian team. Pukowski, who was ruled out due to a concussion in the practice match, was also ruled out from the first 2 tests.

Hons said: “According to game protocols, Pukowski is at the last stop. They have not shown any symptoms for a few days. He will be fit to play in Sydney after an independent investigation and after withdrawal protocols. Fast bowler Sean Abbott is back.
