IND vs AUS Brisbane Test: Mohammad Siraj remembers his father after 5 wickets, wishing he was alive to see this day | Brisbane test: Mohammad Siraj became emotional after remembering his father, said: ‘I wish Abbu was alive to see today’

Brisbane: Mohammed Siraj won everyone’s hearts with his performance in the ongoing Brisbane Test between India and Australia (IND vs AUS). He started his Test career on this tour and now in the second round of the third Test he has sent 5 drummers from the host team to the clubhouse.

Mohammad Siraj got emotional after taking 5 wickets for the first time in his Test career and it was not easy for him to express his feelings. Nonetheless, this quick pitcher alerted Indian batsmen to the Gabba wicket here on Monday, which has slight cracks.

Siraj won five wickets for 73 points in Australia’s second round in the fourth test. Australia set a goal of 328 points ahead of India scoring 294 points in the second set. Siraj believes there have been some tricky spots on the pitch from where an irregular bounce can be found.

Siraj said in a virtual press conference on Monday: “When he plays there will definitely be some confusion in the minds of the drummers due to a few cracks in the pitch, but our drummers are ready for it.” We won’t know until tomorrow.

The fast bowler was asked if he would be ready to beat by chasing the target, he said, “If I get the chance, I beat.” Our goal is to win this series, especially despite the injury of so many players, our team presented a great challenge from the first rounds.

Mohammed Siraj took Steve Smith’s wicket on a short ball which is his favorite wicket in this series with Marnus Labuschagne. Other than that, he’s taken the wicket of Kangaroos opener David Warner 2 times in this series.

He said: “ I think that will be Steve Smith’s wicket throughout the series. There was some extra bounce in some areas and I felt it might give me some success. He’s one of the best drummers in the world and taking his wicket has increased my confidence considerably. Apart from that, the Marnus Labushen box office also cheered me up.

He said, “Other than that, the way young people get opportunities, whether it’s Natarajan or Washington. Everyone benefited from it. Everyone has done well on his behalf. I especially thank Ajinkya Rahane for trusting the youth and boosting my morale. He kept talking to me all the time and it boosted my confidence.

The last 2 months have also been difficult for Siraj. His father Mohammed Ghaus has passed away and he couldn’t even attend his funeral, but his hard work eventually paid off. He said, “My dad wanted my son to play for the country and the whole world would see him play. I wish he was alive to see today.

Before the Border-Gavaskar series of tests, Siraj lost his father. He then made a promise to himself. Today he filled it out.

He said: “It is the result of his prayers that I took 5 wickets. I am a verb and I cannot express my feelings in words. It was a difficult situation. After talking to my mother after Abbu died, I gained strength and turned my attention to making his dream come true.

Siraj only had two test games before this game, but led the attack in the absence of senior bowlers. He said: “I don’t consider myself to be a senior bowler but I have played a lot of cricket nationally and in India A and it has helped me. I missed Jassi Bhai (Jaspreet Bumrah) and that’s why I took more responsibility and put the pressure on.
