IND vs AUS: Boxing Day Test, Playing Australia Cricket XI in Melbourne, Says Coach Justin Langer | Hosts ready for Boxing Day test, know who will stand a chance in Australia XI

Melbourne: Australia head coach Justin Langer has said there will be no changes to the hosts of the second test against India from Saturday unless that happens.

Australia won by 8 wickets in the Adelaide test, edging India in 36 races with its minimum test score. Langer said there was no need to change the team that performed so well.

Justin Langer said in a virtual press conference: “ It will be a challenge to change the team after the last game. If there is no untoward at this point, then we will go down with the same game XI.

The Aussie team are struggling with fitness issues ahead of the series start. David Warner is sidelined with a groin injury while Will Pukowski suffered a head injury in the practice match. Fast bowler Shaun Abbott will not be able to play the second test due to the Corona protocol.

With Warner out of shape, only Joe Burns and Matthew Wade can start the heats. Langer said: “Everyone wants to play their best while playing for Australia. This competition is good for Australian cricket. All players have to play well to keep their place.
