Brisbane: Surprising everyone, Team India has once again won the Border Gavaskar Trophy on Australian soil. No one expected such a performance before this series, but the result was such that it will be remembered for centuries. Australian coach Langer is also surprised by India’s performance.

Unhappy after losing the Test Series to a young Indian team struggling with fitness issues, Australian coach Justin Langer said he had learned a big lesson from the shock that the Indian team should never be under estimated. India won the series 2–1 with the fourth Test.

Langer said: “It was a great round of testing. Finally, we lose and we win. Today the cricket test is won. This defeat will haunt us for a long time. All the credit goes to Team India. We learned a lesson from it.

He said: “The first thing is never to take anything lightly and secondly to never underestimate the Indians. India has a population of one and a half billion and if you are in their game eleven you will be a really good and strong player.

Justin Langer said India’s comeback was spectacular after being sacked for 36 in Adelaide, particularly after injury to top players like Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

He said: “The praise from the Indian team is less. Even after losing the first game in 3 days, he did not give up and made a strong comeback. We have a great lesson and will never take India lightly.

Regarding the 89 undefeated Rishabh Pant rounds included in the Heroes of Victory, he said: “ It was a great round. I remember Ben Stokes’ innings at Headingley, he played fearlessly and his innings were amazing. Shubman Gill also hit well.
