New Delhi: Following the conclusion of the three-game ODI series between India and England (IND vs ENG), the ICC has released the latest standings. The Indian squad and the England players, who also performed brilliantly on the tour, gained a lot in the standings.
Virat stays on top
Indian team captain Virat Kohli still leads the current ODI rankings. Virat hit half a century in the first two ODIs against England. The second issue is Babar Azam from Pakistan. While at number three is India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul, who played a century in the second ODI, moved from 31st to 27th position.
While Hardik Pandya reached the 42nd place in his career. Apart from that, Rishabh Pant also entered the top 100.
Bhuvi took advantage of the bowlers
Speaking of bowlers, Indian team senior fast bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar moved up to number 11 with the 9-place advantage. This is Bhuvi’s best ranking since September 2017 (10). As the series’ highest teller, Shardul Thakur reached 80 from the 93rd position.
Speaking of T20 ranking, Rahul and Kohli lost a place. These two players now occupy 5th and 6th place respectively. There is no Indian player in the T20 list of bowlers and all-rounders.
Ashwin Best in the tests
Speaking of the Test standings, legendary Indian spinner R Ashwin is in second place among bowlers. Australian Pat Cummins is above Ashwin. In the all-rounder list, Ravindra Jadeja is third and Ashwin is fourth behind them. Kohli is in fifth place among drummers. While wicket batsman Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) are jointly in seventh place.
