FedEx attacks victims’ memorial service: Amore

A ceremony was held in the US state of Indiana today to commemorate those killed in the FedEx attack. Four Sikhs were also killed in the attack. Namaz was performed on the spot. Indianapolis Sikh leader Balwinder Singh thanked all those who supported him on the occasion. He said that the April 15 incident was a tragedy that would affect many lives forever. Brandon Scott Hole, 19, who previously worked at the same FedEx center, shot and killed eight people on 15 April. Later on, he shot himself. The leader of the Sikh community said that this grief can be ended by uniting and steps should be taken to prevent such tragedies. The ceremony was held in the city stadium in memory of the deceased. The event included city, state and federal representatives, Indianapolis religious leaders and members of the Sikh community. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb said he stands with the Sikh community in this grief. Condolence messages from President Joe Biden and other state Congress representatives were also read. -PTI
