New Delhi, 12th May

The Union Health Ministry reprimanded the B1.617 mutant of the novel chronovirus to be described as an ‘Indian type’, saying it had no basis. The ministry categorically rejected media reports calling coronovirus an “Indian type” and said it had no basis. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the form / type of coronavirus previously identified as B1.617 in India has now been found in 44 countries and is now classified as a ‘concern type’. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that it had never identified the virus or any other type of virus in any country where it was first reported. “We refer to them (viruses) as their scientific names and urge everyone to do so,” the WHO tweeted. -Agency
