New Delhi: Indian captain Virat Kohli returned home on paternity leave after competing in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. In its place, the team is led by Ajinkya Rahane.

In the second test (India vs Australia Boxing Day Test) Rahane also beat tremendously with an excellent captain. Virat Kohli fiercely praised him and described his century against Australia as the best.

Rahane (Ajinkya Rahane) scored an unbeaten 104 on Matchday 2 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. He formed an unbroken century-long sixth window partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. With that, India got an 82-point lead scoring 277 points for five wickets.

India dismissed Australia for 195 on day one of the game and even then Kohli congratulated the bowlers.

Kohli (Virat Kohli) tweeted after the first day of play: “ The first day has been very good for us. The bowlers performed well and we (the day) ended well, ” he said.

Please say Kohli returned home after the initial match test in Adelaide due to the birth of his first child. India were eliminated by 36 points in the second inning of the first game and lost by eight wickets.
