Chennai: Due to the rupture of the glacier near Joshimath in the Chamoli of Uttarakhand, there was a huge flood, after which heavy lives and property were damaged. Indian wicket batsman Rishabh Pant is badly injured in the Uttarakhand disaster and has announced his match fees for defense. Wicket batsman Rishabh Pant is part of the Indian squad in the first test match between India and England in Chennai. After this tragic incident on Sunday morning, around 150 people are said to be missing and killed. The bodies of more than 10 people were found. Rishabh Pant also called on people to help. Pant said in a tweet: ‘It was very sad for the Uttarakhand accident. I would like to pay my match costs for the relief, rescue and I will call on more people to help me.

Deeply saddened by the loss of human life in Uttarakhand. I would like to donate my match fees to the rescue efforts and urge more people to help.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a gratuity of Rs 2 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives. Compensation of Rs 50,000 was granted for people seriously injured during the disaster. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat, also announced compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of all the deceased.
