Kolkata: Jharkhand defeated Assam by 51 races in Group B of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy competition. This is Jharkhand’s first victory in three matches, while Assam suffered a second loss.
Virat Singh played the “ Virat ” rounds
Virat Singh played brilliantly for Jharkhand. He scored 103 undefeated on 53 balls using 12 fours and three sixes.
Aside from Virat Singh, Saurabh Tiwary contributed 57, Kumar Devbrata contributed an unbeaten 31 and captain Ishan Kishan scored 24, helping Jharkhand to score a mammoth 233 for three, followed by Assam with seven Allowed to score 182 runs on counter.

For Assam, Ryan Parag (Riyan Parag) scored the highest 67 points while Pallavkumar Das scored 46 points but lost wickets at regular intervals. For Jharkhand, Monu Kumar took three wickets for 23 races.
Tamil Nadu’s campaign to win continues
In Group B, Tamil Nadu recorded their third consecutive victory by beating Odisha by eight wickets with 29 balls remaining in the match played at Eden Gardens. With this, Tamil Nadu remains at the top of the group with 12 points.
Tamil Nadu bowlers, led by spinner Murugan Ashwin, kept a grip on Odisha, who decided first batsman from the start, and allowed her team to score 132 points from nine wickets. Ashwin took three wickets for 16 races.
Tamil Nadu continued their winning campaign with half a century of Narayan Jagadeeshan (61) for 136 for two in 15.1 overs.
