New Delhi: Former Australian captain Steve Smith gave an appropriate response to compatriot Michael Clarke’s comments, saying he wanted to give the IPL trophy to the Delhi Capitals. Recently, former Australian captain Michael Clarke commented on Steve Smith, saying that after being sold for a low price he would find excuses to get injured during the IPL.

This year at the auction all teams raised money from Australian players. Despite being one of the best drummers in the world, Steve Smith didn’t get any special auction prices this year. Michael Clarke has said Smith could remove his name from the IPL’s 14th season and will excuse an injury during the IPL after being sold for a lower price.

After Michael Clarke’s comment, Steve Smith gave an appropriate gesture response. Australian drummer Steve Smith expressed his joy at joining the Delhi capitals last year, hoping he would be able to give the team their first Indian Premier League (IPL) title in the 2021 season.
Smith wants to win IPL trophy in Delhi
The 31-year-old has been “freed” by Rajasthan Royals. At the recent auction Delhi Capitals bought it for Rs 2.2 crore. Smith said: “I’m really excited to join the team this year. The team has very good players and great coaches (Ricky Ponting). I am delighted to join the team and add some nice memories. I hope I will help the team to achieve better results than last year.
This star drummer was associated with the Rajasthan Royals in 2019 and was their captain in the UAE in 2020. The Royals, however, finished last. Smith has scored 2,333 points in 95 games at an IPL 35.34 average.
