Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket has asked its national team manager to report on allegations of sexual misconduct by an aspiring player and a female medical staff member.
Sri Lanka Cricket was embroiled in controversy when several local media reports found a young versatile bowler with a female officer in his hotel room.
Misconduct with medical personnel
Sri Lanka Cricket said there are numerous such media reports that a member of the team currently playing a series of tests against England misbehaved with a member of the medical staff.
Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement: “Realizing the seriousness of the matter, we have asked Mail team leader Asantha to report the incident so that the veracity of the media reports can be confirmed.”

The second test between Sri Lanka and England will start in Gaul from Friday.
