New Delhi: Players auctioned on February 18 in Chennai ahead of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of this year’s auction, 292 players were shortlisted by BCCI, in which Indian fast pitcher S Sreesanth was not named. Sreesanth (S Sreesanth) recently answered this question during the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Sreesanth played brilliantly against Uttar Pradesh and won 5 wickets.
Five counters after 15 years
Sreesanth (S Sreesanth) played a cutting edge against Uttar Pradesh in the second round of Elite Group-C in Elur, knocking out five players. Based on Srisanth’s excellent bowling, the Kerala team stacked Uttar Pradesh for 283 races before 50 overs. Sreesanth (S Sreesanth) now has seven wickets in two games in this tournament.
Bath for 7 years
S Sreesanth was convicted of fixing in place during the 2013 IPL, after which he was banned for life. However, the Kerala High Court struck down the ban and Sreesanth (S Sreesanth) made a comeback in domestic cricket after facing a 7-year ban in 2020. Sreesanth had also signed up for the IPL, but the BCCI did not preselect him for the auction.
Sreesanth returned to cricket with Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy
S Sreesanth, who was facing a seven-year ban due to scoring, recently returned to cricket with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Sreesanth was hopeful that he could return to IPL through national cricket after which he figured he could make the squad at the 2023 World Cup in India. However, BCCI turned its hopes on him.
