New Delhi: Team India opener Rohit Sharma passed the fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore ahead of the four-test round against Australia starting on December 17th.
Due to isolation rules in Australia due to the Corona virus, he will not be available for the first two tests, but in the last two tests he may be part of the team.
A senior source from the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) said: “Rohit has passed the fitness test and will be flying to Australia soon.”
Rohit Sharma’s fitness test was performed under the supervision of NCA Director Rahul Dravid. Dravid was given the responsibility of handing him a certificate of physical fitness.
It is expected that Rohit will leave for Australia within the next two days. He will remain in isolation for 14 days before training for the last two tests which will be held in Sydney (January 7-11) and Brisbane (January 15-19).
